Shiro Kuro 黒 史郎

Shiro Kuro (1974–) was born in Kanagawa Prefecture. He began publishing original fiction on the Internet in 1998, trying his hand at various genres. In 2007 he won the Yu Magazine Fiction Prize, an award directed at new writers of spine-chiller fiction, for Yoru wa issho ni sanpo shiyo (Walk with Me Tonight). He draws on urban legends, folklore, and the Cthulhu Mythos of H.P. Lovecraft to weave his stories, which have garnered attention for the way they cut across conventional genres.
